I have been a waif

At your house

In your world

Oh! Obsolete male minds

I am fed up with you

Full of apathy; I am silent

Dr. Bhawana Pokharel

I want to be home

At your houses

In the entire world

If you embrace

Woolf’s androgyny

Full of empathy among

You, me and them–all of ‘us’

I want to be homed

In you, around you, among you

Accepted, counted, respected

Not as a franchised female

But, as one of you—for my head

Free, equal, privileged, dignified

“A Room of One’s One”; is not enough

I dream in need, an entire home of my own!
